… called blogging. I believe it’s pronounced “blogging”… or “yogging”. It might be a soft “bl”. I’m not sure but apparently you just type for an extended period of time. It’s supposed to be wild.

I know what you are thinking, and believe me I had the same fears.  As what I believe is the first such blog of its kind, this venture will no doubt lead to an uncomfortable amount of attention — fan mail, local news features, excessive Facebook friend requests, the inevitable sex tape scandal. But I’ve come to believe recently that the world doesn’t just want my thoughts on Longhorns football and the Big 12. It demands them. At least that’s what my wife tells me.

So the plan is simple. From time to time throughout the upcoming 2009 season, I’ll publish my undeniably unique thoughts on the pageantry and passion that is college football. You’ll find insight, analysis, previews, predictions, humor, random movie references, provocative YouTube clips, drunken ramblings…and maybe if I get it right, a little bit of magic.

We are just six days away from start of the season. I feel the tingle. And it’s only getting tinglier.
