I think I agree with almost everyone of your predictions in this post…

I like Baylor to start 7-1 as well with a loss to either TCU or Tech..and then comes basically the 4 toughest games on the schedule. Love that schedule though…means no confidence killing 45-10 losses at the hands of UT or OU while still trying to become bowl eligible. We’ll be bowl eligible before Nov. and then any wins after that are just gravy.

I could see UT losing 2 games this season. I know UT just reloads, but I think the loss of McShipley is being overlooked a bit. The whole changing the offense to a more traditional QB under center offense seems a bit odd as well.

Good post – the national championship picture is definitely not as clear as usual. Ohio State looks to have a schedule that is not too difficult but respectable enough to assure them a spot if they are undefeated. Boise could get make it in, but I don’t think they would win it. I still think they are overrated.

I think it will come down to Ohio State and a decision to be made between a 1 loss Big 12 or 1 loss SEC team.

It should be noted that the Vegas night we made the USC bet, we also bet the Texans to win the Super Bowl. Vegas + Patron = Bad Decisions

Yeah, those two squirts don’t exactly look like All Big-12 caliber QBs. Better hope Gilbert stays up and there is more focus on the running game (which sounds like is the case even with Gilbert).

Good thoughts! I will definitely miss Leach and his antics, and I imagine most Techies will too. He (and his offense) was their identity. Time for all their fans to get rid of their pirate flags. They are a major question mark this year.

So long Nebraska and CU! I hope everyone stomps them.Surprised Jerrod Johnson is so low on that list, I’ve seen him on shorter lists elsewhere. He’ll have a big season.
I think OU and UT are for sure 1 and 2, but wouldn’t be surprised to see A&M steal one against either.
I think O$U, Tech, and Baylor will be 4,5,6 in the South in no particular order.
Baylor will be bowling this season. Couldn’t have asked for a better schedule, sans TCU.
